Jessica Karin Maria Ryde (born May 18, 1994 in Lund ) is a Swedish handball player who is a member of the Swedish national team.

Career

Jessica Ryde initially played for LUGI HF in her hometown . She won the Swedish championship in 2011 with the Lugi junior team. Furthermore, she ran for the women's team in the top Swedish league and took part in European cup competitions. The goalkeeper switched to league competitor H 65 Höör in 2013 . With Höör she won the EHF Challenge Cup in 2014 and the Swedish championship in 2017. In the 2016/17 season she was again in the final of the EHF Challenge Cup with Höör. In the summer of 2017 Ryde moved to the Danish first division club FC Midtjylland Håndbold, who renamed themselves Herning-Ikast Håndbold a year later . With Herning-Ikast she was in the final of the Danish championship in 2019, which the team lost to Team Esbjerg . In the same year she won the Danish Cup with Herning-Ikast.

Jessica Ryde initially ran for the Swedish youth and junior national team. With these selection teams, she took part in the 2011 U-17 European Championship , the 2012 U-18 World Championship , the 2013 U-19 European Championship and the 2014 U-20 World Championship . On June 2, 2018, she made her debut for the Swedish national team in the European Championship qualifier against the Faroese national team . Ryde was appointed to the 2019 World Cup squad by national coach Henrik Signell .
