Yevgeny Alexandrowitsch Korotkow ( Russian Евгений Александрович Коротков ; born December 10, 1987 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with Salawat Julajew Ufa in the Continental Hockey League .
Career
Yevgeny Korotkow began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Krylya Sowetow Moscow , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Pervaya League in the 2004/05 season . In the following season the attacker made his professional ice hockey debut for HK Brest from the Belarusian extra league . At the same time he played for Brests second team in the second Belarusian ice hockey league.
From 2006 to 2009 Korotkow was again under contract with Krylja Sowetow Moscow, with whom he was relegated in the 2006/07 season from the Super League to the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division. For the 2009/10 season , the left-handed shooter finally moved to his city neighbor HK CSKA Moscow from the Continental Hockey League , for which he made two assists in 35 games in its first year. In the following year, another template was added in 33 games, before he was signed on trial by league rival HC Lev Poprad in July 2011 . In August he was released again and a month later he joined Amur Khabarovsk , for which he completed over 100 KHL games in the following three years.
In May 2014 Korotkow returned to HK CSKA Moscow and was there under contract until September 2016, before he was given in exchange for the young player Gleb Letow to Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk . At Neftechimik he completed eight more KHL games before he was given up in the context of another swap to Salawat Julajew Ufa . In return, Artyom Chernov switched to Neftechimik. In April 2018, his contract with Salawat Julajew Ufa expired and Korotkow was subsequently without a club.
