Yevgeny Markowitsch Schwidler
Jewgeni Markowitsch Schwidler , ( Russian Евгений Маркович Швидлер , English: Eugene Shvidler ; born March 23, 1964 in Ufa , Russia ) is an American-Russian entrepreneur and oligarch . He earned his billion dollar fortune during the privatization of Russian industry in the 1990s.
Life
Schwidler is originally an oil engineer. He earned an MBA from Fordham University in the US and worked for the consulting firm Deloitte . He became a US citizen in 1994. Together with Roman Abramowitsch he started the Russian oil trading company Runicom SA In 1995 they took control of the Russian oil company Sibneft , whose president Schwidler became in 1998. In 2005, Sibneft was taken over by Gazprom . According to Forbes , his net worth is $ 1.3 billion as of May 2017.
