Yevgeny Wassiljewitsch Aleinikow ( Russian Евгений Васильевич Алейников ; born May 29, 1967 in Ordzhonikidze , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian sports shooter .

successes

Yevgeny Aleinikov took part in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and 2000 in Sydney . In 1996, with 692.9 points, he just missed winning a medal with the air rifle in fourth place. Four years later he moved into the final again and finished the competition with 693.8 points behind Cai Yalin and Artyom Chadschibekow on the bronze rank . He also started with the small-bore rifle in the three-position fight, which he finished in seventh place with 1265.5 points. At the World Championships in 1991 in Stavanger , he first won the silver medal in individual and team competitions with the air rifle. In 1998 he became world champion with the team in Barcelona and in 2002 in Lahti . He also won the bronze medal in the individual in 2002.

He is married to the marksman and Olympic champion Lyubov Galkina .
