Jill Quertier
Jill Quertier (born before 1974) is an American production designer who won an Oscar for best production design and was nominated for this Oscar again.
Life
Quertier began her work in the Hollywood film industry as a prop buyer in 1974 for the film The Great McGonagall and later became a production designer. In the course of her career, she worked on the staging of more than thirty films until 2001.
At the Oscar ceremony in 1999 , she won with Martin Childs Oscar for Best Production Design for Shakespeare in Love (1998) by John Madden with Joseph Fiennes , Gwyneth Paltrow and Geoffrey Rush in the leading roles .
In 2001 she was also nominated with Childs for another Academy Award for Best Production Design for the film Quills, directed by Philip Kaufman , starring Geoffrey Rush, Kate Winslet and Joaquin Phoenix .
