Jill Talley (born December 19, 1962 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American actress and voice actress .

Career

Talley appeared in improvisational comedies in Chicago at the Improv Institute and The Second City from 1982 . She and her husband, Tom Kenny , were both members of the iconic, short-lived FOX Network sketch comedy show The Edge (1992-1993) and Mr. Show (1995-1998). The two starred in the 1996 video for Tonight, Tonight by The Smashing Pumpkins as a married couple on their honeymoon on the moon.

As voice actress, Talley et al. a. Karen , an antagonist in SpongeBob SquarePants , as well as several characters in Camp Lazlo . She also dubbed Sarah Dubois in the adult swim series The Boondocks or Maja in Adventure Time .

Since the success of Mr. Show , Talley has also played supporting roles in several films, including Little Miss Sunshine and Sky High - This High School Is Taking Off! , in the latter with her husband.

Private

Talley met Tom Kenny in 1992 while working on The Edge . They married in 1995 and have two children, Mack (* approx. 1997) and Nora (* 2003).
