Jillian Faye Fletcher (born September 6, 1980 in Ashland , Kentucky , USA ), better known by her ring name Jillian or Jillian Hall is an American female wrestler .

From 2003 to 2010 she appeared regularly on the shows of World Wrestling Entertainment . The greatest achievement of her career is receiving the WWE Divas Championship . Fletcher had previously been active as Macaela Mercedes in various independent leagues since 1998 .

Personal

Fletcher attended Greenup County High School in Greenup , Kentucky from 1995 to 1998 , where she was active as a cheerleader and in gymnastics . After high school , she attended college for a short time , which she dropped out before graduation due to her wrestling career. In 2009, Fletcher got engaged to wrestler John Toland ("Tank Toland").

Career

Beginnings

Fletcher was trained by Dave Finlay in his wrestling school. In 1998 she made her debut when she was allowed to perform as a heel in various independent leagues under her then ring name Macaela Mercedes . In this role she was allowed to participate and win numerous championships, including the Southern States Wrestling Women's Championship title. She appeared exclusively for women's promotions , for example at GLORY , the Professional Girl Wrestling Association (PGWA) and the Women's Wrestling Alliance (WWA). She was allowed to win both the WWA Women's Championship and the PGWA Championship title in the last two leagues .

Fletcher was also active at Hoosier Pro Wrestling (HPW), where she was allowed to achieve the titles of the HPW Cruiserweight Championship and the HPW Ladies' Championship , and at Canadian International Wrestling (CWI), where she was allowed the CIW Indy Women's Championship title to obtain. As part of her participation in Mid-States Championship Wrestling (MCW), she was allowed to hold the MCW Mid-American title according to the storyline , and then the BWCW Women's title at Blue Water Championship Wrestling (BWCW) .

Her greatest success in an independent league, however, she was allowed to achieve at the Superstar Wrestling Federation (SWF) with her victory at the SWF Women's Championship , where she also took part in several mixed matches. She was allowed to hold the SWF Tag Team Championship title twice, once with Tiny Tim and once with Randy Allen ("The King").

In 2002 and in spring 2003, Fletcher worked under the ring name Mercedes for the Canadian Promotion Apocalypse Wrestling Federation and for Wrestle And Respect . On January 23, 2003, Fletcher was allowed to win the GLORY Ladies' Wrestling Championship against Beth Phoenix ("Fabulous Firebird").

World Wrestling Entertainment

In mid-2003, Fletcher began working under the ring name Jillian Hall for World Wrestling Entertainment's development league , Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), and in 2004 also signed a development contract with the market leader.

She first appeared as Face in several matches against Mickie James. Later she was the valet of the Blonde Bombers , consisting of John Toland ("Tank Toland") and Chad Toland ("Chad Wicks").

Fletcher made her television debut in WWE on July 28, 2005 on SmackDown .

On June 17, 2007 Fletcher moved through the WWE Draft to RAW , where she made her team debut with Melina a day later and won against Mickie James and Candice Michelle .

On October 12, 2009 at RAW , Fletcher won the WWE Divas Championship from Mickie James for the first and only time . However, she lost this to the returning Melina only a few minutes later. On November 19, 2010, she was released from the WWE.
