Jim C. Hines

Jim C. Hines (born April 15, 1974 in Pennsylvania ) is an American fantasy writer .

Life

Jim C. Hines studied Psychology and English at Michigan State University . Even during his student days, he kept writing little stories. After his initial success with the Blade of the Bunny story, his short stories were also published in various magazines. He turned his hobby into a profession after graduating. Hines' books belong to the urban fantasy genre.

Today the author lives with his family and many pets in Michigan and works for the state government there.

successes

Hines' novel The War of the Goblins entered the Locus bestseller list in 2008 and Three Angels for Armand in 2009 . In 2012 he received the Hugo Award in the “Best Fan Writer” category. His books have been translated into several languages. In Germany, Jim C. Hines stories are published by Bastei Lübbe Verlag.

Writers of the Future Award

1998 Jim C. Hines won his first story Blade of the Bunny the " L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Award" , a registered trademark of Scientology is. In 2012, Hines took a critical look at the price. He stated that he assumed at the time that the Prize and the Committee were independent of Scientology; but he is no longer so sure of that. However, he could not find any recruitment attempts.
