Jim Hoffmann (born October 2, 1962 in Kitchener , Ontario , Canada ) is a former Canadian - German ice hockey player who played on the position of the striker . In the top German league he was active for the ESV Kaufbeuren .

Career

Jim Hoffmann began his ice hockey career in 1977 with the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League . After a year with the Windsor Royals in a junior league , Hoffmann came to REV Bremerhaven in 1981 in the 2nd Bundesliga , for which he played two years. He then went on the ice for five seasons in the 2nd Bundesliga for Krefelder EV , before putting on his skates for ESV Kaufbeuren from 1989 onwards . With Kaufbeuren he became champion of the 2nd Bundesliga in 1991 and rose with the team to the 1st Bundesliga , where the team has since played under the name Kaufbeurer Adler . Hoffmann stayed with Bayern until 1997 before moving to the second-class first division , where he won the 1998 championship with EHC Neuwied . He ended his career in 1998/99 at Grefrather EV in the first division.
