Jimmy Andrews (born February 1, 1927 in Invergordon , † September 12, 2012 in Bridgend ) was a Scottish football player .

Andrews moved from Scottish club Dundee FC to English second division West Ham United in 1951 for £ 4,750 . There the left winger made a total of 120 competitive games in five years, 114 of them in the league. In 1956 he joined the local neighbor and league competitor Leyton Orient .

He let his career end in the Third Division with the Queens Park Rangers , where he moved to the coaching staff after his playing career.

1974 Andrews took over the coaching post of Frank O'Farrell at Cardiff City . In his first season he was relegated to the third division with the club, but remained in office and was able to celebrate the direct promotion. In 1976 he won the Welsh Cup with Cardiff and took part twice in the European Cup Winners' Cup. In November 1978 he was fired and replaced by Richie Morgan . He was then a scout at Southampton FC before retiring from football.
