Jimmy Gardner

Jimmy Gardner (actually Edward Charles James Gardner , born August 24, 1924 in Newmarket , Suffolk , † May 3, 2010 in London ) was an English actor .

Life

Gardner, son of jockey Terry Gardner , fled home as a teenager, hired as a seaman, survived two shipwrecks, served in the Royal Air Force as a pilot and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Medal . He turned to acting in the mid-1950s and made his first film in 1964. As a result, he was also on television and on stage - here mainly in Shakespeare roles - to be seen. A late career highlight was a role in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban .
