João Vale de Almeida
João Vale de Almeida (born January 29, 1957 in Lisbon ) is a Portuguese diplomat .
From 2010 to 2014 he was the EU ambassador to the USA . His predecessor as Head of the European Union Delegation was former Irish Prime Minister John Bruton . His successor is the Irishman David O'Sullivan .
Since November 2015, Vale de Almeida has been Head of the European Union Delegation to the United Nations .
