Marie-Agnes Dittrich

Marie-Agnes Dittrich (born May 18, 1954 in Düsseldorf ) is a German musicologist .

She studied history and musicology at the University of Hamburg , where she received her doctorate in 1983 with a thesis on harmony and language setting in Schubert's songs . She plays the piano, harpsichord and flute, among other things.

From 1983 to 1993 she was a lecturer in musicology and music theory at the Hamburg Conservatory . Since 1993 Dittrich has been Professor of Musicology (focus on analysis) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna . She is also a lecturer u. a. at the University of Vienna and the Danube University Krems , as well as visiting professor at the University of Leiden .

Her spouse was the musicologist Sven Hansell (1934-2014).
