life and work

From 1959 he settled as a sculptor in Berlin.
Sculpture symposia
The international sculpture symposia, which began in Austria in 1959 and 1960 based on the example of Karl Prantl, were intended by the German sculptors Schultze-Bansen, Erich Reischke and Herbert Baumann (all members of the Association of Symposium European Sculptors ), supported by Professors Karl Hartung and Alexander Gonda , to organize a sculpture symposium in Germany. With him and other sculptors, the first German symposium took place in 1961, the Kaisersteinbruch sculpture symposium in Gaubüttelbrunn , a small town near Kirchheim in Lower Franconia .
End of October 1961 decided the participants of the symposium Gaubüttelbrunner to organize a protest sign against the building of the Berlin Wall, a symposium in Berlin: The Symposium of European sculpture from 1961 to 1963 , the so-called wall Symposium . During this symposium, Schultze-Bansen created two stone sculptures.
From 1964 to 1965 Schultze-Bansen was a guest lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts .
