Joachim A. Paul

Joachim A. Paul (born on August 16, 1956 ; died on March 17, 2017 ) was a German university professor of business administration .

He studied business administration at the European Business School and the University of St. Gallen and was introduced in 1986 with the dissertation topic “On the political assertiveness of an ecologically oriented market economy. An analysis from an economic point of view, illustrated using the example of the Federal Republic of Germany ”. During his studies, he also worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen and completed internships in Germany , France , Canada and Japan . He obtained an MSc from the London School of Economics . Economics ( Master in Economics ).

After completing his studies, he worked for Volkswagen AG and Porsche AG in the investment management division. From 1990 he then worked at Festo AG & Co. KG as head of investment controlling, where he also took over the management of the management information system three years later.

In 1999 he was appointed to a university teaching position at Pforzheim University . There he taught general business administration , international business, controlling and cost accounting as well as finance and accounting in German and English . He was also the head of the Steinbeis Center Pforzheim Management Institute.
