Joachim Bechtle-Bechtinger
Joachim Bechtle-Bechtinger ( pseudonym : Joachim S. Gumpert , former name: Joachim Schreck , born September 16, 1926 in Koethen ) is a German writer .
Life
Joachim Bechtle-Bechtinger studied German . From 1957 to 1968 he worked as a publishing editor. After his dismissal for political reasons, he was a member of the editorial team of the Weltbühne . Today he lives as a freelance writer in Berlin .
Joachim Bechtle-Bechtinger edited numerous anthologies and volumes with stories and poems in the GDR , mainly by German-speaking authors from the first half of the 20th century. He is also the author of short stories and columnist texts.
Joachim Bechtle-Bechtinger was a member of the GDR Writers' Association ; since 1993 he has been a member of the PEN Center Germany .
