Since 1992 he has been a member of the German Peace Society - United War Resisters (DFG-VK). He combines his art exhibitions and campaigns with active peace-political activities, known among other things are campaigns with red and white construction site tape, art from rubbish, “shopping lists - everyday literature” or pictures made from locking clips. Since 1999, pictures by Fischer have been owned by the state of Bremen. In 2001 he was accepted into the “Who is who in Germany?” In 2002 he was accepted into the Federal Association of Visual Artists (BBK). His trademark - a tartan hat with a red bobble - gave him his nickname "Bommel Fischer".

He also writes glosses under the title Bommels Welt .

Creed

“As long as the colors stay in the bottles, there will be no meetings and no communication. That is only possible in freedom. There can be no colored paintings without freeing the colors from bottles and tubes. For me it is a symbol of human coexistence. Only when people are free can they meet each other and create a wonderfully colorful picture of humanity. "
