Joachim Heusinger from Waldegg

Joachim Heusinger von Waldegg (* 1940 in Marburg ) is a German art historian .

Live and act

Joachim Heusinger von Waldegg studied art history , archeology and sociology at the universities of Aachen , Cologne , Hamburg , Tübingen and Saarbrücken . With a thesis on Fritz Wrampe , he received his doctorate in 1970 at the University of Saarland . He then worked as a research assistant and exhibition maker at the Hamburger Kunsthalle , the Rheinisches Landesmuseum Bonn and the Kunsthalle Mannheim .

Since 1984 he has been professor of art history at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe . In 2006 he retired .
