Joachim Lege

Joachim Lege (born July 27, 1957 in Lübeck ) is a German legal scholar and currently holds a professorship at the University of Greifswald .

Life

Lege studied law in Bielefeld and Freiburg im Breisgau from 1977 to 1982 . After working as a lawyer in Freiburg in 1986, he worked from 1987 to 1995 as a research assistant at the Institute for Legal Philosophy and General Political Science at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg with Reinhold Zippelius . In 1994 he was also awarded a Dr. jur. PhD . From 1995 to 1997 a habilitation grant from the German Research Foundation followed; In 1997 he completed his habilitation in public law and legal philosophy in Freiburg im Breisgau.

Between 1997 and 1998, Lege was a substitute professor in Freiburg, Bielefeld and Dresden before becoming Professor of Public Law at the Faculty of Law at the Technical University of Dresden (Institute for Technical and Environmental Law). Since April 2003 he has held a chair at the University of Greifswald at the chair for public law , constitutional history , legal and state philosophy .

Since 2015 he has been chairman of the German Law Faculty Conference , DJFT .

In September 2019 he was one of about 100 constitutional law teachers who, with the open appeal for the right to vote, Downsized the Bundestag! turned to the German Bundestag .
