Joachim Lehmann (born February 1, 1930 ) is a former German football player who played 31 games in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of GDR football , for SC Chemie Halle-Leuna in 1957 and 1958 . In 1956 he won the GDR soccer cup with SC Chemie.

Athletic career

Until the 1954/55 season Joachim Lehmann played in the company sports club (BSG) Chemie Leuna . Most recently, he helped the BSG to move up from the fourth-class Halle district league to the second GDR league . After the end of the season, Lehmann was delegated to the football focus of the district, the SC Chemie Halle-Leuna.

The Halle residents had just relegated to the first GDR league and first had to complete a thirteen-game transition round in the fall of 1955 to switch to the calendar year rhythm. Lehmann was used in nine games and was together with Werner Lehrmann (12 missions) with seven goals top scorer of SC Chemie. In the following season in 1956 Lehmann was one of the assets of the team that managed to return to the league immediately. Lehmann played all 26 point games and again proved his scoring risk with 15 hits. The team crowned their successful season by winning the GDR soccer cup with a 2-1 win over ZASK Vorwärts Berlin . Lehmann was used in this game as a center forward, but could not distinguish himself as a goalscorer.

Even in his first league season in 1957, Lehmann had a hard time scoring goals. In a total of 26 league games, he was called up 18 times, but scored only two goals. In the first half of the season he almost always played as a center forward, in the second half of the season he was only a substitute and was only twice in the starting line-up in six league games. The 1958 season ran in the same way for Lehmann. He only made 13 league appearances, nine of them in the first half of the season. He was in the starting line-up ten times and played either center forward or right winger. Again he only got two point goals.

The 1958 season ended the SC Chemie, which had dropped the addition "Leuna" during the season after a merger with SC Wissenschaft Halle , again as a relegated team. When the immediate return to the league was again Joachim Lehmann was no longer there. In 1959 he moved to the University Sports Association (HSG) Wissenschaft Halle in the II. GDR League. With Lehmann, the HSG was the season winner, but could not prevail in the promotion games to the I. GDR League. After a third place in 1960 Science Halle rose in the 1961/62 season (return to the summer-spring game rhythm) in the district league Halle. Lehmann never returned to higher-class football.
