Joachim von Spreckelsen

Joachim von Spreckelsen (born March 19, 1636 in Hamburg ; † July 27, 1707 there ) was a Hamburg senior senior citizen , councilor and bailiff in Ritzebüttel .

Origin and family

Spreckelsen was a son of Erich von Spreckelsen and grandson of the senior elder in the parish of Sankt Nikolai Vincent von Spreckelsen († 1609).

He was married to Elisabeth Langenbeck, daughter of the senior elder in the parish of Sankt Nikolai and Hamburg councilor Garleff Langenbeck (1597–1662).

Live and act

After completing school, Spreckelsen stayed in Holland for eight years before traveling through Germany, France and England and then returning to Hamburg. Here he was elected to the Vieh accise on August 27, 1662 , to the Weinaccise on September 21, 1664 and to the Bieraccise on October 31, 1666. In 1669 he was elected civil judge at the Hamburg Lower Court and on October 28, 1671 war commissioner . On July 23, 1675 he was re-elected to the Weinaccise.

On May 1, 1682, Spreckelsen was elected as senior elder in the parish of Sankt Katharinen for the late Zacharias Sökelandt († 1682). As senior senior, Spreckelsen administered the trench money tax in 1684 and became president of the senior elders in 1687 .

In 1692 he became a Hamburg councilor, as such in 1696 praetor and later landlord . From 1700 to 1706 he was a clerk in the Ritzebüttel office belonging to Hamburg.
