Joachim von Tresckow

Joachim Adam Otto von Tresckow (born June 20, 1894 in Danzig-Langfuhr , † November 3, 1958 in Bückeburg ) was a German lieutenant general in World War II .

Life

Tresckow fought as an officer in World War I , was wounded several times and was awarded both classes of the Iron Cross and the Wound Badge in silver. In the Wehrmacht during World War II, he was in command of the 328th Infantry Division on the Eastern Front until it was dissolved on November 2, 1943, and the 18th Air Force Field Division on the German Western Front in 1944/1945 . In 1944 he became the deputy leader of the XXX. Army Corps and in the last months of the war in 1945 he became Lieutenant General von Tresckow with the deputy leadership of the LIX. Army Corps instructed.
