Joan Baptiste
Joan Baptiste ( Joan Jeanetta Baptiste ; born October 12, 1959 in St. Vincent ) is a former British sprinter .
In 1983 she won over 200 m silver at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Budapest. At the World Championships in Helsinki she reached the semi-finals over 200 m and won silver in the 4 x 100 meter relay with the British team .
Another semi-finals over 200 m at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles was followed by victory with the English team in the 4 x 100 meter relay of the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1986 .
