Joannes Groen
Joannes Groen MSF (born December 15, 1891 in Grosthuizen , † April 18, 1953 ) was a Dutch priest and Apostolic Vicar of Bandjarmasin .
Life
Joannes Groen joined the Order of Missionaries of the Holy Family and was ordained a priest on December 17, 1921 . Pope John Paul II appointed him on March 10, 1949 Vicar Apostolic of Bandjarmasin and Titular Bishop of Sbida .
The Bishop of 's-Hertogenbosch , Willem Pieter Adriaan Maria Mutsaerts , ordained him on 16 June of the same year Bishop ; Co- consecrators were Johannes Petrus Huibers , Bishop of Haarlem , and Francis Xavier Sudartanta Hadisumarta OFMCap , Vicar Apostolic of Pontianak .
