Jacques Henri Romeijn
Jacques Henri Romeijn MSF (born February 17, 1906 in Voorschoten , † September 23, 1986 ) was a Dutch priest and bishop of Samarinda .
Life
Jacques Henri Romeijn joined the Order of Missionaries of the Holy Family and was ordained a priest on July 24, 1932 . Pope Pius XII appointed him on July 10, 1955 Vicar Apostolic of Samarinda.
The Bishop of Haarlem , Johannes Petrus Huibers , ordained him on 15 September of the same year Bishop ; Co-consecrators were Nicolas Verhoeven MSC , Vicar Apostolic of Manado , and Tarcisius Henricus Josephus van Valenberg OFMCap , Vicar Apostolic of Pontianak .
With the elevation to the diocese on January 3, 1961 he was appointed Bishop of Samarinda. He attended all the sessions of the Second Vatican Council . On February 11, 1975, he resigned from his office.
