Jobst Kayser-Eichberg

Jobst Kayser-Eichberg (born March 13, 1941 in Oberstdorf ) is a Munich entrepreneur.

Life

Kayser-Eichberg grew up in Munich and studied law in Tübingen and Munich. Since 1961 he has been a member of the Corps Rhenania Tübingen . He received his doctorate in insurance law and joined an accounting firm in 1970, where he was promoted to partner in 1978. In 1985 he became managing director of the German subsidiary of Bristol-Myers Squibb . On January 1, 1994, he became managing personally liable partner of Spaten - Franziskaner -Bräu KGaA, where he had been chairman of the advisory and supervisory boards since 1988.

In 1996, under his leadership, a majority stake in Dinkelacker-Schwabenbräu AG in Stuttgart was bought. In 1997, the Munich Löwenbräu was also acquired. Kayser-Eichberg also took over the chairmanship there. In 2003 he sold the brewery business to Interbrew . Kayser-Eichberg is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Schörghuber Foundation, which includes Bayerische Hausbau, Arabella Hospitality (hotels) and Brauholding International (including Paulaner).

Private

Kayser-Eichberg is married to a daughter of Ernst Sedlmayr and granddaughter of Heinrich Sedlmayr, who belonged to the family who owned the Spaten brewery. The couple have three daughters and one son. His brother-in-law Dieter Soltmann is also active in the management of Spaten-Franziskaner-Bräu KGaA.
