Jobst from Berg

Jobst von Berg (* 1962 in Göttingen ) is a German artist. He works as a painter , photographer and video artist .

Life and work

Jobst von Berg studied ethnology , sociology and musicology at the University of Göttingen and from 1988 to 1996 fine arts at the Bremen University of the Arts . In 1996 he passed his diploma and became a master student of Karl Heinrich Greune . From 1996 to 2000 he worked as a freelance artist in Berlin . In 1998 he received a scholarship from the city of Bremen.

Since 2000 Jobst von Berg has been a lecturer at the International North Summer Academy and since 2005 head of a class for acrylic painting in Hamburg-Eppendorf , Schleswig and Lauenburg . In 2008 he was co-founder of the Schleswig “Gallery on Freedom” (GAF).

Jobst von Berg lives in Böel . He is the father of four children.
