Jochen Jänicke

Jochen Jänicke (born August 2, 1923 in Lübbenau ) is a German painter .

Life

Jochen Jänicke, who was born in Niederlausitz at the height of German hyperinflation during the Weimar Republic , graduated from high school in 1941 in Berlin in the middle of World War II . In the post-war period he studied from 1946 to 1949 at the Berlin University of Fine Arts with Max Pechstein and Carl Hofer .

After Jänicke worked as a freelance artist in Braunschweig from 1950 to 1958 , he moved to Hanover in 1958 .

In particular, the artist created free compositions in mixed media, watercolor and tempera.

In 1979 Jochen Jänicke had his residence and his studio at Hallerstraße 10 in Hanover.

In 1964, the wall curtain designed by Jänicke for Trelleborgs Angfartys AB in Sweden was awarded first prize.
