Jochen Zoerner-Erb

Jochen Zoerner-Erb (born April 22, 1943 in Cottbus ) is a German dramaturge , actor , theater director and director.

Life

Zoerner-Erb studied theater studies , English and art history . He began his theatrical work as an assistant director at the theaters in Düsseldorf , Wuppertal and Nuremberg . In the 1973/74 season he was engaged at the Dortmund Theater. 1974-76 followed a permanent engagement as an actor, dramaturge and director at the Theater Gießen . He then moved to the Saarland State Theater in Saarbrücken , where he worked as a dramaturge and director from 1976-81.

He was the initiator and long-time director of the Saarbrücken free theater festival "Perspectives", which he founded in 1978. He was also director of the “contact” festival in Mainz . He was also the artistic director of the Gasteig cultural center in Munich .

From 2001 to 2003 he was artistic director of the Balver Höhle Festival in North Rhine-Westphalia . As a director he realized his own productions a. a. in Cairo , Maribor and Zagreb (with Tristan and Isolde ).

Jochen Zoerner-Erb lives in Wuppertal and is a member of the FDP .
