Jodie Rimmer
Jodie Rimmer (* 1974 ) is a New Zealand film and theater actress .
Life
Rimmer appeared in various New Zealand television productions from 1990 on. After a role in the television series Melody Rules , appearances in international television productions such as Xena - Die Kriegerprinzessin , Young Hercules and Hercules followed in the late 1990s .
In 1998 she worked as a presenter for the television show Behind the Wheel . In 1999 she played her first leading role in a feature film in I'll Make You Happy as a teenage prostitute Siggy .
She became known to an international audience in 2004 for her role as Jackie in the literary film adaptation As the Sea Disappeared alongside Matthew Macfadyen and Emily Barclay .
She then appeared in plays such as Insignificance (2004), The Jungle (2006) and Rabbit (2008) at the Auckland Silo Theater . Rimmer received outstanding reviews for her acting in The Jungle in particular .
In 2009 she appeared in Separation City on the side of Joel Edgerton , Rhona Mitra , Danielle Cormack and Thomas Kretschmann .
Private life
In the mid-1990s, Rimmer was in a relationship with the actor Joel Tobeck . Since January 1, 2011, she has been married to attorney Tim Riley. Their son was born in March 2010. She lives in Auckland .
