Joel Tobeck

Joel Bryan Tobeck (born June 2, 1971 in Auckland ) is a New Zealand actor .

Life

Tobeck was born as one of three children to television and theater actress Liddy Holloway . His grandfather was the politician Phil Holloway .

At the age of five, Tobeck made his acting debut at the side of his mother in an adaptation of The Duchess of Amalfi at the Mercury Theater. From 1984 to 1986 he had several leading roles on stage at the Youth Theater Auckland and then his first minor roles in film and television. From 1995 he was seen regularly in television productions such as in seven episodes of the Shortland Street series as Craig Develter in 1996.

He lives in Cambridge with his girlfriend and their three children .
