Joe Baudisch
Joe Baudisch (born July 8, 1964 in Tegernsee , Bavaria ) is a German drummer who became known primarily in the field of jazz .
Act
Joe Baudisch completed the jazz course at the Graz University of Music and Performing Arts between 1986 and 1991 and took lessons from Billy Hart , Mel Lewis and Kenny Washington . He has performed with Sheila Jordan , Jay Clayton , Art Farmer , Al Porcino , Don Menza , Kenny Wheeler and Mark Murphy , including at the Montreux Jazz Festival .
Baudisch has lived near Munich since 1991 and works both as a freelance musician and as a music teacher. He leads his own bands and plays as a sideman in various jazz combos, but also in classical orchestras (including Free State Theater Bavaria, Musical Ludwig in Füssen). He is also involved on albums by Steve Gut and Franz Dannerbauer's Music Liberation Unit .
