Joe Cottrill (actually William Cottrill ; born October 14, 1888 in Woodhouse , South Yorkshire , † October 26, 1972 in Sheffield ) was a British medium and long-distance runner .

In the team race over 3000 m at the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912, he came in sixth place and won bronze with the British team. Over 1500 m he was eliminated in the preliminary run, in cross-country he did not reach the finish.
