Joe Gooch (born May 3, 1977 in Highbury , north London ) was guitarist and lead singer of the blues rock group Ten Years After until the end of 2013. Currently (2016) he is the frontman of Hundred Seventy Split .

biography

Joe Gooch grew up in a very musical environment and quickly found his way to jazz and blues . With the legendary Woodstock festival band Ten Years After , founded in 1967 , he took over the legacy of ex-frontman Alvin Lee in 2003 at the age of 26 . At that time he played in the band Siro . Joe Gooch originally received a classical guitar training, but found his way to the music of Jimi Hendrix and Frank Zappa early on . He has now released three albums with Ten Years After. In 2010 he started the project Hundred Seventy Split with his bandmate from Ten Years After Leo Lyons , which produced two studio albums, but has also performed live since 2011 and in 2012 released a DVD entitled Live from the Rockhal (Luxembourg) . In addition, a new studio album was released in 2014 called "HSS". In 2015 "The Road" was released. In addition, another studio album was created in 2016 called "Tracks".
