Joël Zakarias Kabongo (born April 5, 1998 in Albertslund ) is a Danish - Zambian football player . He has played for Brøndby IF since his youth and has played for Danish national youth teams.

Career

society

Kabongo was trained at Brøndby IF's youth training center and received a professional contract in January 2017. In the 2016/17 season he did not play for the professional team of the Copenhagen suburb club and was awarded to the second division club Fremad Amager at the end of August 2017 . On September 3, 2017, Kabongo played his first game in the men's area when he came on for Heini Vatnsdal in the 82nd minute in the 1-0 win against Esbjerg fB on matchday three . He had come to ten missions in the Danish second division before returning to Brøndby IF.

National team

Kabongo had played for the Danish U-16 national team and four for the U-18 national team before his first of six appearances for the Danish on September 2, 2016 in a 2-1 draw in Nyborg against Norway U-19 national team .

In August 2018, Kabongo was invited to the Danish U-21 national team for the first time with his nomination for the European Championship qualifiers against Finland and Lithuania . On November 14, 2018, Kabongo played for the Danish U21s for the first time in their 4-1 defeat in the friendly against Spain in Logroño .
