Joerg E. Staufenbiel

Joerg E. Staufenbiel , also Jörg E. Staufenbiel , (born October 23, 1943 ) is a German non-fiction author and publisher as well as a personnel consultant .

Life

Joerg E. Staufenbiel studied economics and social sciences at the University of Cologne and the University of Geneva with a degree in business administration . He completed internships and language courses in Denmark , Japan , France and Columbia University in New York City .

In 1972 he started his own business as a publisher in the field of study and career planning and published publications on the subject. In the 1990s, “Career planning for the next generation of management” was number two on the bestseller lists of the magazines Wirtschaftswoche and Capital .

Together with the personnel and organizational scientist Norbert Thom (IOP University of Bern) he organized seminars and colloquia at the “Staufenbiel Institute”. Between 1999 and 2001, he rated career sites on the Internet for well-known employers and presented the Staufenbiel “In Search of Talents” award.

Staufenbiel has also been working as a personnel consultant since 1976. His personnel consultancy has been a member of the Federal Association of German Management Consultants (BDU) since 1982 . He also works as a personnel consultant in Japan and as a member of the Shanghai Chamber of Commerce in China.

In 2004 he sold the “Staufenbiel Institute for Study and Career Planning GmbH” to the English “Group GTI”. The company then operated under the name Staufenbiel Institute and organized the Graduate Congress Germany, among other things. In 2016, squeaker.net GmbH, based in Cologne, took over Staufenbiel Institut GmbH.

In addition to membership in various scientific associations, he was a board member of the Erich Gutenberg working group in Cologne. Staufenbiel has been a member of the Catholic student union AV Rheinstein zu Cologne since 1964 , later also the AV Edo-Rhenania zu Tokyo , both in the CV .
