Johan George Gleichman (born July 19, 1834 in Rotterdam , † April 30, 1906 in The Hague ) was a Dutch politician .

Life

After completing his studies, Gleichman became a laborer in the Ministry of Finance in 1860 , agent in 1867 and director of the Dutch bank in 1871. From 1877 to 1879 he held the post of Minister of Finance and was elected as a member of the Second Chamber of the States General in 1880, of which he was President from 1891 to 1901. In 1898 he was awarded the honorary title of Minister of State .
