Johana Munzarová

Johana Munzarová (* 1962 in Prague ) is a Czech - German actress .

Life

Johana Munzarová is the daughter of the Czech actor Luděk Munzar (1933–2019) and the actress and puppeteer Naděžda Munzarová (* 1932). When Johana was two years old, her parents separated and the actor, cabaret artist, puppeteer and writer Ivan Kraus became her stepfather. In 1968 the family emigrated from Czechoslovakia . After several positions with the Black Theater of the Velvets in Europe and America, they came to Wiesbaden in the 1970s before Kraus went to Baden-Baden as an author for Südwestfunk . Here Johana Munzarová appeared as a child and adolescent in various television and radio productions. Her speaking role of the little prince after Saint-Exupéry, recorded in 1978, has served as the audio background for the puppet show in the Velvets Theater's play of the same name. In 1981 she had a major supporting role in Heidi Genée's feature film Stachel im Fleisch under the name Johana Musil . From 1982 to 1984 she studied ballet and acting at the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes in Mexico City . After studying language and tourism in France and Switzerland, she worked for a shipping company in the 1990s and early 2000s. Since 2012 she has been working increasingly as an actress and speaker. Accompanied by her partner Peter Hillert, she also sings in the lounge jazz duo PoetryinMusic . She lives near Baden-Baden.
