Johann Adam (composer)

Johann Adam , also Jean Adam , (born September 14, 1704 in Dresden ; † November 13, 1779 there ) was a German violist and composer of the Baroque era .

Life

From 1733 to 1736 he worked as a hunting piper at the Dresden court. He later worked as a violist at the Dresden court orchestra . From around 1740 Adam also worked as a ballet composer for the court opera and as a composer for the French theater at the court.
