Johann Albert Dröge

Johann Albert Dröge (born May 21, 1805 in Lankenau ; † December 21, 1854 in Bremen ) was a German businessman and politician.

Life

The son of a Bremen businessman completed a commercial apprenticeship in Bremen and worked as an independent businessman in Mexico since the 1820s and in overseas trading in his hometown of Bremen from 1835.

From May 18, 1848 to April 4, 1849, Dröge represented the 18th constituency of the Kingdom of Hanover ( Bremervörde ) in the Frankfurt National Assembly , where he belonged to the casino faction and the Augsburg court and was a member of the Economic Committee and the Naval Committee . At the same time he was involved in the Frankfurt Trade Policy Club .

After the end of the German National Assembly, he took part in the Gotha post-parliament . In 1851 he was appointed British consul in Bremen.
