Johann Albert Stork

Johann Albert Stork (born September 27, 1860 in Schallstadt ; † February 19, 1929 there ) was a German farmer, mayor of Schallstadt and a member of the Baden Estates Assembly .

Life

After attending the elementary school in Schallstadt and the high school in Freiburg , Stork did an apprenticeship as a businessman from 1875 to 1879 and then worked in Vevey . From 1979 to 1881 he took part in the military service of the Baden 113 Infantry Regiment in Freiburg. Meanwhile, Stork bought his own agricultural property in Schallstadt, on which he devoted himself in particular to viticulture. In addition to his agricultural interests, he also pursued his political interests. From 1913 to 1923, Stork was mayor of his home parish and from 1913 to 1918 a member of the Second Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly . He represented the National Liberal Party . From 1919 to 1921 Stork was also involved as a member of the Baden state parliament as a representative of the German Democratic Party . In 1918 he was awarded the Baden Constitutional Medal.

He was the paternal grandfather of Friedrich Konrad Stork .
