The nature reserve Görsdorfer Heide is located in the district of Hildburghausen and in the district of Sonneberg in Thuringia . It extends west and south of Heid , a district of the city of Eisfeld , and north and south of Görsdorf , a district of the city of Schalkau , along the southern and western border with Bavaria . Far west of the area extends the A 73 .
