The Vessertal nature reserve is located in the Hildburghausen district , in the Ilm district and in the city of Suhl in Thuringia . It extends south of Vesser , a district of the city of Suhl, and north and northeast of Breitenbach , a district of Schleusingen , along the Vesser . Not far to the east the Nahe flows and the state road L 3004 runs. The L 1140 runs north of the area, the L 3247 and the A 73 to the west .
