Life

Together with his brother Karl I. Aigner, he had a new branch church built in the Baroque style in 1772 in place of the old chapel "Maria Heimsuchung" in the center of Abfaltersbach (across from Kolagner) . Pastor Aigner was one of the town's greatest benefactors. Together with his brother he donated funds to support an assistant priest , a teacher and an organist .

The owners of the Erb- und Gasthof Aigner had the right to lend the teaching and organist positions. The same benefactors also financed the baroque transformation of the parish church to St. Andreas zu Abfaltersbach and built the first schoolhouse in this place. Before Johann Aigner became pastor in Peuerbach on September 30, 1758, he was pastor of Amstetten in Lower Austria .
