His sister Rosa (born January 17, 1712; † December 22, 1793) was married to Franz Kasimir Armand Hamann Caesar Xaver Sigmund Peter von Reinach-Hirzbach (born January 31, 1710; † January 4, 1776) and had numerous children. The second oldest brother Karl Joseph Ludwig (* 1713; † 1794) was the last episcopal court marshal of Basel . His second sister Maria Anna Anastasia († 1796) was abbess of the aristocratic Schänis Abbey since 1763 .
