Johann Brockhoff
Johann Brockhoff (born June 16, 1871 in Aachen , † 1942 in Munich ) was a German painter and graphic artist.
Life
Brockhoff was the son of a businessman. He began his artistic training from 1889 to 1891 as a student at the Dresden Academy . From 1893 to 1895 he was a student at the Académie Julian in Paris, then again at the Dresden Academy under Carl Bantzer . From 1899 to 1901 he graduated with a degree in printmaking with Peter von Halm at the Munich Art Academy .
Brockhoff settled in Munich, where he co-founded a private school for graphic arts. His students included u. a. Rüdiger Berlit , Hans Gött and Roi Partridge.
