Johann Buttinger

Johann Buttinger (born January 25, 1900 in Lengau , Upper Austria; † February 3, 1984 in Braunau am Inn ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ).

Life

Johann Buttinger attended the seven-year elementary school and then a technical school in Salzburg . He learned the profession of plumber , which he practiced with interruptions through periods in which he was unemployed until the end of the Second World War . From 1945 until his retirement in 1965, Buttinger worked full-time as the district secretary of the SPÖ in the Braunau am Inn district .

Buttinger began his political career in 1926 as a member of the Friedburg- Lengau municipal council and as chairman of the SPÖ Schneegattern. After the Second World War he became a member of the community council of Braunau am Inn . From 1953 to 1956 Buttinger was a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament .

Johann Buttinger reached the climax of his political career when he was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1959 to 1966 .

He died in 1984 at the age of 84.
