Johann Carl Koken

Johann Carl Koken (born June 9, 1715 in Hildesheim ; † March 15, 1773 ) was a German Evangelical Lutheran clergyman and theologian .

After attending the Andreanum grammar school , Koken studied from 1736 at the University of Helmstedt and from 1737 at the University of Göttingen . In 1741 he became pastor at St. Martini and in 1754 director of the orphanage in Hildesheim. In 1758 he became superintendent . In 1759 he received his doctorate in theology from the University of Rinteln .
