Johann Caspar Eisenschmidt
Johann Caspar Eisenschmidt (born September 15, 1656 in Strasbourg , Alsace , † December 4, 1712 ibid) was an Alsatian mathematician , geodesist and physician .
In 1699 he became a corresponding member of the Académie des sciences at the suggestion of Jean Dominique Cassini .
