Andreas Grusinski
Andreas Grusinski , also Andrew Gruz, (* 1984 in Smolensk , Russian Federation ) is a German actor and stuntman .
Life
Andreas Grusinski came to Germany with his family in May 1990, where the small town of Nidda in the Wetteraukreis / Hesse became their new place of residence. When he and his brother secretly watched the film Bloodsport with Jean-Claude Van Damme at the age of 6, the desire arose to become an actor. Van Damme's films encouraged martial arts . At the KKBC in Hungen he learned karate and kickboxing under the guidance of Oliver Storck . Grusinski was international German champion several times in competitions of the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations. In 2004 he achieved his greatest tournament success with the World Cup victory. Grusinski is also the holder of the 2nd degree black belt in kickboxing.
After the 12th grade, he left the grammar school of the Wetterau district in Nidda and in 2004 initially joined the armed forces .
Andreas Grusinski then completed a one-year stuntman training course from 2006–2007 with stunt coordinator Michael Mohr at Movie Park Germany , where he also took part in theater performances, shows and various film productions. After a first workshop, he was immediately engaged for the RTL series Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei and received the first role in the stunt show in “Movie Park” Bottrop for a year and a half.
He then completed his acting training at the Schauspiel Zentrum (formerly the German Center for Drama and Film) under the direction of Arved Birnbaum from 2007-2011 . At the beginning of his acting career he had theater engagements at the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Haus in Düsseldorf , at the stage of cultures in Cologne and at the theater “Das Spielbrett” in Cologne. He now works exclusively for film and television.
Grusinski has been in front of the camera as an actor and stuntman since 2007. He has worked in cinema productions, television films, television series and in some short films. Several times he took on characters with a Russian or Eastern European background; he was heard in his roles several times in his native Russian .
In the first film in the ZDF crime series Der Taunuskrimi , the television film Snow White Must Die (first broadcast: February 2013), he had a supporting role; he played Frank Pietsch, a member of a village clique of friends who participated in a gang rape.
He also had episode roles a. a. in the television series Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei (2011), Schmidt & Schmitt - We investigate in any case (2011; as a cleaner from Novosibirsk and an expectant father Boreslav), A case for two (2013; as an Eastern European mafioso and kidnapper Gareli ), Koslowski & Haferkamp (2014; as Holger Pester, who lets his sister get involved in a kidnapping), Lindenstrasse (2014) and The Public Prosecutor (2017).
From 2014 to 2015, he had a recurring supporting role as drug dealer Ruben Jackesch in the RTL series Everything that counts .
Grusinski also appears internationally under the name Andrew Gruz . He lives in Cologne.
